The Wild Horse Adoption Event will take place on August 14-15 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mustang Match Alabama, a Forever Branded Adoption Center in Abbeville, Alabama. Attendees can meet and adopt one of 30-40 unhandled, untrained wild mustangs through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) adoption program. Prospective adopters must complete the BLM Online Corral application, meet all BLM requirements, be approved prior to adoption, and pay a $125 fee.
Since the horses are wild and untrained, adopters should be prepared for the care, training, and facilities needed to support them. Availability is limited, with priority given to the first approved adopters. Interested individuals are encouraged to start the application process online and can contact the Mustang Match team via email or phone for more information. This event offers a unique chance to give a wild horse a second chance through adoption and training.
