Haley Jacobs, a ThunderRidge High School graduate from Douglas County, has combined her passion for western fashion and healthcare through her business, Spurrin’ Scrubs. Drawing inspiration from her lifelong involvement in 4-H, where she learned skills in agriculture, livestock, and fashion design, Jacobs creates western-themed scrubs for healthcare workers. After earning a degree in medical laboratory science and working in various healthcare settings during the COVID-19 pandemic, she launched her self-taught and self-funded business, offering a range of scrub apparel and accessories that reflect her western roots.
Jacobs remains deeply connected to the 4-H community, volunteering and encouraging young people to pursue their passions. Her business will be showcased at the National Western Stock Show, marking a meaningful full-circle moment that ties her childhood experiences with her professional and entrepreneurial journey. Jacobs emphasizes the importance of exploring diverse interests and following what brings happiness, a philosophy shaped by her varied background and 4-H involvement.
