The second stage of the Western Gymkhana Trophy Ice will take place on December 28th at the Equihome Equestrian Center in Cerveteri, as part of the Fitetrec-Ante Lazio regional circuit. This event is the central phase of a three-stage trophy, with the final stage scheduled for January 25, 2026. Western Gymkhana is designed to introduce riders of all levels to American Horsemanship, emphasizing not only speed but also technique and precision in maneuvers. Participation requires appropriate experience and physical and mental fitness for both horse and rider, making it suitable for young riders in training as well as those aiming to refine their skills.
The Ice Trophy serves as a key regional competition for pairs from various centers across Lazio, fostering comparison and development within the discipline. Marco Sterbini, the new director of the Western Gymkhana Lazio discipline and an experienced Show Manager, is actively involved in organizing the stages and advancing the sport’s technical and competitive aspects, ensuring engaging and exciting events. Pre-registrations for the December 28th stage were open until December 24.
