The Victorian Racing Club (VRC) has demonstrated strong support for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal by donating $10,000 and renaming four races on Saturday’s program to honor those affected by recent fires. Additionally, VRC staff volunteered at the Inglis Sales Complex to assist with the care and relocation of horses from fire-impacted areas, showing the club’s commitment beyond financial aid.
VRC Chief Racing Officer Leigh Jordon emphasized the club’s efforts to encourage public donations through racebook advertisements and website links, ensuring all funds directly benefit fire victims. He highlighted the racing industry’s unity in responding to the crisis and the importance of supporting affected participants across the state.
