Volusia County Considers Allowing Horseback Riding on Select Beach Areas

Volusia County officials are considering permitting horseback riding on select sections of county beaches. The proposed areas include a nine-mile stretch from the Flagler County line to Granada Boulevard and another nine-mile section at Neptune Beach.

If approved, riders would be required to make an online reservation at least 48 hours prior, stay below the latest high tide line, and present Coggins health certificates to verify their horses’ health.
