Vittoria Panizzon Competes All Three Eldest Offspring of Olympic Horse Borough Pennyz

Eventer Vittoria Panizzon has come full circle by competing the three eldest offspring of her London 2012 Olympic horse, Borough Pennyz. Pennyz, who finished 11th individually at the London Olympics and had a successful eventing career including top-five finishes at major events, has produced five offspring, three via embryo transfer. Vittoria has ridden all three eldest: Borough Justapenny, now ridden by Jack Ashworth; Borough Tuppence, competing at three-star level; and Borough Threpence, who recently joined Vittoria’s string and showed promise with a double clear round at the BE100 South of England event.

Vittoria values the strong character and jumping ability inherited from Pennyz, noting the offspring’s preference for jumping over flatwork. She also has a granddaughter of Pennyz, Rock Florin, continuing the Olympic lineage connected to her long-term trainer Sarah Bullen’s Rock King bloodline. Pennyz, now 22, retired in 2019 and lives with owner Sally Bullen, enjoying a peaceful retirement. Vittoria expresses a deep connection to Pennyz and her progeny, hoping to continue developing their potential while honoring the legacy of her special Olympic mount.
