Day two of the 2025 High Horse – Ulcer Armour+ Victorian dressage Festival featured an exciting Prix St Georges competition sponsored by the Victorian dressage Club. Jayden Brown and his chestnut horse Leopold took first place with an impressive 71.176%, showcasing elegant movement, particularly a standout canter and three quality paces. Despite a few minor errors reflecting the horse’s inexperience at this level, their harmonious and polished performance set a strong tone for the event.
Following closely were Michelle Baker on Escala RW (68.628%) and Karen Blythe with Sonic K (68.186%), both delivering well-ridden tests that highlighted their horses’ potential and quality. Other notable competitors included Heather Currie on Quasir de Charry and Rosemary Heagney with MSJ Nemo, with scores in the mid-60s reflecting tight competition. Overall, the class demonstrated strong performances and marked Leopold as a promising horse to watch in future dressage events.
