Victor Bettendorf of Luxembourg, riding the eleven-year-old bay mare Encore Toi du Linon, won the CSI5* Champagne Taittinger Speed Stakes at the London International Horse Show with a clear round nearly two seconds faster than his closest competitors. Bettendorf, a first-time attendee, expressed pride in achieving this victory at a show he has admired since childhood, highlighting the strong bond and trust he has developed with his mare over nearly three years of partnership.
Belgium’s Jos Verlooy finished second on Parise Van Den Dael, viewing the event as valuable preparation for upcoming major classes, including the CSI5* Cavago Six Bar and the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup. British rider Jack Whitaker secured third place on Valmy De La Lande, expressing excitement for the week ahead at one of his favorite home shows and satisfaction with his horse’s performance.
