At the 13th Oldenburg Special Edition auction held on 14 June 2025, a bay colt named Very Hip (by Verbier x Florenz) became the top-selling horse, fetching 50,000 euros after a competitive bidding duel between a local buyer and an American. The auction featured a mix of foals and young sport horses, with efforts made by the Oldenburg breeding society to enhance the event’s appeal by linking it to a local flea market and the Oldenburg Foal Championship. Other notable sales included the 4-year-old mare Furstin Gloria (by Furst Dior x Sir Donnerhall), which sold for 48,000 euros to a U.S. buyer, and the black colt Sandman (by Secret x Glamourdale), which went for 36,000 euros.
In total, 48 foals were sold at an average price of 10,094 euros, while riding horses averaged 18,833 euros. The auction attracted buyers from various countries, including the USA, Sweden, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, and the UK. Several horses, such as Juliano BCN, Flow, and Top Girl, were notable for their international buyers and competitive prices, reflecting the strong demand for quality Oldenburg-bred sport horses.
