The University of Vermont hosted its annual Spring Horse Show at the UVM horse barn, bringing together students and community members for a day of equestrian competition and learning. The event, organized by the UVM dressage team and the horse barn co-op, featured riders of all skill levels who received valuable feedback from judges to help improve their abilities. Hannah Marsh, president of the dressage team, emphasized the importance of the team in allowing college students to continue riding and competing despite the challenges of balancing the sport with academics.
Faculty advisor Chrissy Rohan highlighted the broader contributions of the dressage team, noting their ongoing improvement, representation of UVM, and the expertise they bring to the barn. Additionally, organizers stressed that events like the Spring Horse Show are crucial for supporting the program financially, as expenses for coaching, horse care, and daily operations continue to grow.
