The University of Tennessee at Martin equestrian team faced a tough challenge against the No. 2 ranked South Carolina, ultimately falling 15-4 at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex. Despite the loss, the Skyhawks showcased strong individual performances, securing two wins in reining, one win plus a tie in flat, and one win in horsemanship. Several riders set career-high scores, notably Abby Tibbits and Payton Bundy in reining, Lydia Jordan in flat with an 86-point effort, and Kailyn Veale in horsemanship.
Other standout performances included career-best scores from Elise Mason, Claire Carpenter, and Abigail Karl, who made her collegiate debut, as well as strong showings in fences by Averey Pritchard and Audrey Morris. UT Martin concludes its fall season next weekend with two Eastern College Athletic Conference matches against UC Davis and Delaware State in Delton, Delaware.
