The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is introducing prize money for the first time at the 2025 Young Event Horse (YEH) Championships on both the East and West Coasts, thanks to a new partnership with Goresbridge, a leading sport horse auction house. Goresbridge will award $1,000 to the 4-year-old and 5-year-old YEH Champions at each coast’s event, along with a certificate redeemable toward purchasing a horse at their upcoming Go For Gold Sale. The East Coast Championships will be held in Maryland on October 16–17, followed by the West Coast event in California on October 24–25.
This collaboration highlights growing support for developing young eventing talent and offers valuable incentives to competitors. USEA YEH Committee Chair Molly Pellegrini emphasized that the partnership not only rewards excellence but also encourages the next generation of champions. Goresbridge’s involvement also promotes their prestigious sale, which features top young Irish event horses, strengthening ties between the U.S. eventing community and international sport horse markets.
