USEA Eventing Coaches Program Symposium Scheduled for January 2026 in Florida

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) will host the Eventing Coaches Program (ECP) Symposium from January 13-15, 2026, at Malvern House Farm in Citra, Florida. This three-day interactive educational event welcomes not only certified coaches but also riders, trainers, owners, breeders, and supporters interested in best practices for teaching eventing. Attendees will participate in small group sessions to evaluate horse and rider demonstrations, focusing on skill assessment, identifying improvement areas, and prioritizing next steps, all guided by experienced ECP faculty and using the ECP Handbook by the Levels as a foundation.

The ECP, established in 2002, aims to educate coaches at all levels to safely and effectively train riders and horses in eventing. The symposium fosters a collaborative environment where coaches of varying experience can share insights and learn from one another, with additional presentations from industry experts such as sports psychologists and Olympic judges. Registration is open now, with discounted rates for certified coaches and officials, and the event is supported by sponsors including Marshall+Sterling Equine Insurance and the United States Pony Clubs.
