The U.S. Cattlemen’s Association (USCA) has issued a statement mourning the passing of Lia Biondo, honoring her impactful legacy and inviting supporters to keep her loved ones in their thoughts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship fund in her memory through Western Skies Strategies.

Separately, the Senate Agriculture Committee, led by Chairman John Boozman and Ranking Member Amy Klobuchar, has scheduled a hearing to discuss Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins’ plan to reorganize the USDA. The plan includes closing key USDA facilities and relocating a majority of Washington-area positions nationwide. Deputy Secretary Stephen Vaden will testify, while Boozman expressed disappointment over the lack of prior communication about the reorganization.
