US Equestrian Awards $20,000 Grant to Greater Good Charities for Equine Disaster Relief

US Equestrian has awarded a $20,000 grant to Greater Good Charities through the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund to support horse rescue and care efforts in emergencies. Greater Good Charities, which recently provided $8 million in aid including nearly 5 million pet meals during the Los Angeles wildfires, will use the funds to purchase and maintain essential equipment for rapid deployment in future disaster responses.

The USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund, established in 2005 after Hurricanes Rita and Katrina, aims to financially assist organizations involved in equine rescue during emergencies. US Equestrian CEO Bill Moroney emphasized the importance of preparedness for large-scale equine evacuations, highlighting the critical role of organizations like Greater Good Charities in disaster relief efforts. Donations to the fund directly support emergency relief for horses.
