Updates on Horse Racing and Real Estate on Sweetwater County Commissioners’ Tuesday Agenda

The Sweetwater County commissioners will receive updates from Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism CEO Jenissa Meredith and three fire chiefs from the county’s fire districts. The fire department in Sweetwater County was disbanded in favor of contracting with existing fire departments for service. The commissioners will also consider approving a resolution for 307 Horse Racing, LLC. to operate at a former movie theater in Green River for horse racing and historic horse racing terminals.

The property at 699 Uinta Drive in Green River, which was once a movie theater, has been sold and may now be used for horse racing activities. The commissioners will discuss and potentially approve a resolution for 307 Horse Racing, LLC. to conduct pari-mutuel wagers on horse racing and historic horse racing terminals at this location. Additionally, the commissioners will meet in a closed executive session to discuss real estate matters.

The Sweetwater County commissioners’ meeting will take place at the Sweetwater County Courthouse in Green River and will be open to the public, with the option to stream the meeting on the county’s YouTube channel. The agenda for the meeting includes updates from various organizations within the county, as well as discussions on approving resolutions for new business activities.
