UC Davis Equestrian Team Dominates Minnesota Crookston with Sweeps

The UC Davis equestrian team dominated the University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles in a meet, securing an 18-2 victory with multiple event sweeps. In the fences event, UC Davis riders achieved a perfect 5-0 win, with Lauren Kolbe scoring the highest with an 86. In horsemanship, Natasha Replogle and Laura Kate Holliday led the way for the Aggies, contributing to a 5-0 sweep with strong scores.

In the reining event, Mya Clader set the bar high with a score of 71.5, leading the Aggies to another 5-0 sweep. The flat event concluded the meet, with Margaret Franke earning the Most Outstanding Performance award with a score of 84. The Aggies won this event 5-0, with Kolbe scoring an impressive 85 points.

Following their success, Jessie Rechs and Margaret Franke were named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Riders of the Week. The Aggies will now focus on their upcoming National Collegiate Equestrian Association matchup in College Station, Texas, aiming to build on their momentum from the victory over Minnesota Crookston.
