Two UAE female riders, Wafaa Al Dahmani and Fatima Al Balushi, have achieved International Equestrian Federation (FEI) status through the Amiri Stables equestrian program in Abu Dhabi, aimed at enhancing the performance of people of determination in dressage for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games. After undergoing official para-equestrian classification in June in the UK, Al Dahmani was classified in Grade II and Al Balushi in Grade III, confirming their eligibility to compete at the Paralympic level.
The riders completed a comprehensive training program in Abu Dhabi that included horse riding, theoretical lessons, simulator training, physical therapy, and sports mental health sessions led by experts in physiotherapy, sports psychology, and nutrition. Al Dahmani highlighted their recent participation in daily training and international para-dressage championships in the UK, where they engaged with top British athletes, positioning them well for future Paralympic qualification.
