The U.S. Para dressage Team showcased a strong and consistent performance at the 2026 Wellington CPEDI3*, part of the Adequan Global dressage Festival in Florida. Competing across four grades, the team achieved a final total score of 433.255 with scores consistently above 70%. Highlights included personal bests and creative freestyle routines, led by Chef d’Equipe Michel Assouline and Team Leader Laureen Johnson. Key performances featured Marie Vonderheyden’s 74.722% in the FEI Grand Prix Test B and Kate Shoemaker’s 78.892% in the Grade IV Freestyle, with the team building momentum toward major international events like the 2026 FEI Para dressage World Championships in Germany.
Throughout the competition, U.S. riders demonstrated improvement and artistic expression, earning praise for their technical and choreographic skills. Notable scores included Cynthia Screnci’s personal best of 72.281% and expressive freestyle performances from all team members. This event served as an important early-season benchmark, helping the team prepare for upcoming international challenges while highlighting the support from the USET Foundation, USOPC, and USEF sponsors.
