U.S. Jumping Team Triumphs at Rome CSIO5 Nations Cup, Securing Historic Victory

The U.S. Jumping Team achieved a remarkable victory at the Jumping Nations Cup of Rome CSIO5*, finishing with a total of just four faults. This win marks their first at the event since 2009 and their sixth overall at this historic venue. France secured second place with eight faults, while Italy came in third with a total of 20 faults.

Chef d’Equipe Robert Ridland praised the team’s performance, noting that three of the four riders were competing in a 5* Nations Cup for the first time. Key contributions came from Lillie Keenan and McLain Ward, both of whom delivered double clear rounds, with Ward’s performance sealing the victory. The event, held in the iconic Piazza di Siena, was a significant milestone for the team, blending tradition with competitive success.

The competition featured strong performances from all team members, including Laura Kraut and Karl Cook, who each contributed to the team’s score. The U.S. team maintained their lead throughout the rounds, with clear rounds from Keenan and Cook solidifying their position. The victory not only highlights the team’s current talent but also sets a promising tone for future competitions, including the upcoming €500,000 Rolex Grand Prix of Rome.
