Bermudian equestrian Tyler James had a successful summer competing on the US circuit, with strong showings at the Tryon International Horse Show and the Kentucky Horse Park. Riding for team IEC under trainer Wendy Arndt, James competed with his horses Cruise Control and Vino Blanco, achieving podium finishes including third place in the USHJA Jump Seat Medal 3’3 Amateur Class at Tryon and multiple top-six placements in Amateur Jumper events.
At the Kentucky Horse Park, James continued to perform well, finishing tenth in the USHJA National Hunter Derby 3’3 Junior/Amateur Class and third in the USHJA Jump Seat Medal Junior/Amateur Class with Cruise Control. This third-place finish qualified him for the USHJA 3’3 Adult Jump Seat Medal Finals at the Capitol Challenge Horse Show, marking a notable milestone in his competitive season.
