Tributes Paid to Top Breeding Stallion Womanizer Following His Death at 23

Tributes have been paid to Womanizer, a beloved Heartbreaker stallion who died at age 23. Owned by Olive and Ivor Broderick of Kylemore Stud, Womanizer was known for his exuberant yet kind temperament and exceptional carefulness over jumps. Despite a serious tendon injury at seven that ended his jumping career, he became a highly successful breeding stallion, producing numerous top-level event horses and show jumpers. His offspring are noted for their good conformation and spirited nature, reflecting his strong bloodlines.

Olive Broderick fondly recalled Womanizer’s gentle character, highlighting how even her young daughter could ride him safely years after his retirement from competition. Womanizer played a crucial role in establishing the stud’s reputation and was regarded as a stallion with a confident, charismatic presence. His legacy lives on through his successful progeny and the deep affection held by those who knew him.
