Trainer Randy Klopp Dominates Horseshoe Indianapolis with Top Wins and Earnings

Randy Klopp has established himself as a dominant trainer at Horseshoe Indianapolis, leading the current meet with 21 wins from 83 starts since April 15 and consistently ranking at the top in recent years. His success is reflected in earnings, surpassing $1 million annually since 2021, with $638,202 earned so far this year. Klopp credits his achievements to dedicated owners who reinvest their winnings into acquiring and upgrading horses, fostering a sustainable and passionate racing operation. He manages about 100 horses split between the track and his farm, with significant involvement from his wife, Liz Klopp, who also runs the track’s pony business.

Klopp highlighted several promising horses in his stable, including Playing the Angles, a 4-year-old gelding showing potential after recent improvements; Sleepy, a 3-year-old gelding competing in a challenging sophomore handicap; and Mondavila, a successful 3-year-old with multiple wins and stakes experience. Other notable horses include The Kid Pataky, a consistent 4-year-old filly with multiple wins, Ekati Flatter, a tough 5-year-old mare, and Latigo, a reliable 6-year-old gelding with substantial earnings. Klopp’s stable continues to compete strongly in upcoming stakes races, demonstrating his ongoing influence at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
