This year’s Tooraweenah Endurance Ride weekend is expanding with the addition of a 120km event and the introduction of international-standard FEI-level rides, marking the first time such events have been held at Tooraweenah. Partnering with Canobolas Endurance Riders, the club aims to provide Australian competitors opportunities to qualify for overseas international competitions. The inclusion of FEI events has increased entries by 32, attracting riders from southern NSW and Queensland, while maintaining the traditional shorter rides through private properties and national parks in the Warrumbungle region.
Despite the new FEI divisions, the event retains its familiar relaxed, friendly country atmosphere, quality amenities, and longstanding catering by the CWA ladies, who have supported the ride for 49 years. The Tooraweenah Endurance Club, composed of local community members from diverse backgrounds, continues to contribute to local projects and community events, ensuring the ride remains a cherished and well-supported fixture in the region.
