The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA), in partnership with the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association (FTBOA), hosted a sold-out Pedigree and Conformation Clinic in Ocala, Florida, on March 9–10. The two-day event attracted participants from across North America and featured top industry experts who provided in-depth education on evaluating and preparing 2-year-old Thoroughbreds for the sales ring, coinciding with the OBS March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training. Presenters covered topics such as conformation evaluation, breeze shows, sales strategies, veterinary considerations, and breeding, offering attendees practical insights to enhance their ownership and breeding programs.
The clinic also emphasized outreach to future industry professionals by inviting equine science students from the College of Central Florida to attend, fostering connections between emerging talent and established experts. The event highlighted the strong collaboration between TOBA and FTBOA, reinforcing the importance of educational initiatives in supporting the Thoroughbred community. Networking opportunities, including a reception at the FTBOA Museum and Gallery, further enriched the experience, underscoring TOBA’s ongoing commitment to advancing Thoroughbred education nationwide.
