On November 8 at Aqueduct Racetrack, second-season sire Tiz the Law significantly advanced his reputation with two major stakes wins within an hour. His son, Tiz Dashing, captured the Hill Prince Stakes (G3T) by a neck, marking his first stakes victory after several black-type attempts. Shortly after, Tiz the Law’s daughter, Fully Subscribed, dominated the Mother Goose Stakes (G2), winning by 4½ lengths over Kentucky Oaks runner-up Drexel Hill. These performances helped Tiz the Law rise to third on the Leading Second Crop sire list, behind Vekoma and McKinzie, continuing the same order from the Leading First Crop Sire List in 2024.
Tiz the Law, a son of Constitution, had a distinguished racing career with multiple Grade 1 wins, including the Belmont Stakes and Travers Stakes. He has produced eight stakes winners from his first crop, including graded winners like Tiztastic and Scythian, and second crop stakes winners such as Dixie Law and Wayne’s Law. Both Tiz Dashing and Fully Subscribed come from strong pedigrees with notable bloodlines, including connections to Pulpit and Candy Ride, and share interesting genetic links through their broodmare sires. These successes underscore Tiz the Law’s growing influence as a sire in thoroughbred racing.
