Tiz Dashing, a three-year-old colt by Tiz the Law, captured the GIII Hill Prince Stakes at Aqueduct, overcoming a wide post position and a challenging trip to secure a narrow victory. Trained by Barclay Tagg and ridden by Javier Castellano, Tiz Dashing showcased tactical speed and resilience, holding off Noble Confessor by a neck. This win marks Tiz Dashing’s first graded stakes triumph and the tenth stakes winner sired by Tiz the Law, a stallion already noted for producing top-level performers.
Owned by Sackatoga stable, Tiz Dashing was purchased as a weanling for $215,000 and is out of Breaking Beauty, a daughter of Que Belle, a German champion mare. Sackatoga’s managing partner Jack Knowlton expressed enthusiasm for Tiz the Law’s success at stud, highlighting their continued support by acquiring related yearlings. Tiz Dashing’s pedigree and performance underscore the promising future for both the horse and his sire in the racing and breeding industry.
