Seventeen-year-old Hriday Brar achieved remarkable success at the Delhi Horse Show, one of India’s oldest equestrian events, winning six medals: three gold, one silver, and two bronze. His accomplishments spanned multiple categories, including two golds in Young Rider dressage, a gold and bronze in Young Rider Jumping, a silver in Open dressage, and a bronze in Open Jumping. Brar expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from his parents, particularly his mother, and acknowledged the significant influence of his coaches, especially Maj. Ahluwalia.
Hriday’s equestrian journey began at the age of five at the Chandigarh Horse Riders Society in Mohali. Over the years, he has trained under various coaches, including Col Sarpartap Singh and Capt Palwinder Singh, which has helped him develop a solid foundation in horsemanship. His training has equipped him with essential skills in riding techniques, horse psychology, and competitive strategy.
Before his recent achievements, Brar had already established himself in the equestrian community with two National Championship medals, two state titles, and participation in two International Championships. His consistent performance reflects a growing maturity and dedication to the sport, positioning him as a promising talent in Indian equestrianism.
