Tributes have been paid to Louise Goudman, a 40-year-old Scottish mother who tragically died after falling from her recently purchased horse, Bobby, on May 2. Despite efforts to address the “teething issues” she experienced with the horse, Louise suffered a severe head injury and never regained consciousness, passing away in the hospital just days later, a week before her 41st birthday.
Her partner, Malcolm Cameron, expressed that Louise died doing something she loved and emphasized that she wouldn’t blame Bobby for the accident. In her memory, a JustGiving campaign has raised over £3,000 to support a charity that rescues and rehomes horses, which will also care for Bobby. Malcolm noted the importance of ensuring that no one else experiences the sudden loss of a loved one in such a tragic manner.
South Cathkin Farm, where Louise had been a client, shared their sorrow over her passing, highlighting the impact on her family, especially her young children. The farm had been working with Louise to resolve issues with Bobby prior to the accident, and they expressed their devastation at the loss of a valued member of their community.
