Leigh Michele Williams Reynolds, 62, of Ocracoke and formerly of Raleigh, passed away peacefully on April 22 at the LiveWell Brassfield Memory Care Facility. She was married to Russ Reynolds and is remembered for her vibrant spirit and kindness. A celebration of her life is scheduled for June 1 at the Berkley Barn.
Born on July 1, 1962, in Raleigh, Michele graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in sociology and dedicated over 20 years to social work at Springmoor Retirement Community. Known for her beauty and warmth, she enjoyed hobbies like gardening, stained glass work, and horseback riding. Michele and Russ married in 1999, traveling the world and later retiring to Ocracoke, where she volunteered with Meals on Wheels and engaged with the community.
Michele is survived by her mother, Joanne Williams; her sister, Jackie Myers; her brother, Rusty Williams; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to local Meals on Wheels programs, honoring her legacy of compassion and service.
