Title: Pyrenees Retires After Promising Career, Set to Begin Stallion Journey

Grade 3 winner Pyrenees, a homebred for Bonnie Baskin and Adam Corndorf’s Blue Heaven Farm, has been retired from racing as they explore options for his stallion career. After breaking his maiden in December 2023, Pyrenees quickly made a name for himself, winning multiple allowance races and capturing the Pimlico Special Stakes (G3) against notable competitors.

Throughout his career, Pyrenees demonstrated impressive form, finishing with a record of 4 wins, 3 seconds, and 1 third from 11 starts, earning $786,316. He achieved five consecutive triple-digit Equibase Speed Figures in his final races, showcasing his potential. Although he was set to defend his title in the Pimlico Special this year, he was scratched due to an unsatisfactory workout.

Pyrenees is sired by Into Mischief and is out of the grade 3-winning mare Our Khrysty, who has produced multiple successful offspring, including grade 1 winner Grace Adler. His retirement marks the end of a promising racing career, with expectations for a successful transition to breeding.
