Princess Anne is set to make her first public equestrian appearance since a horse riding accident last June during this year’s Trooping the Colour parade. As she prepares to celebrate her 75th birthday later this summer, she will ride as Gold Stick, the Colonel of the Blues and Royals, although she will not be joined by her brother, King Charles, for this event.
Last year, Anne suffered head injuries from a horse-related incident that required a five-day hospital stay for a mild concussion. Despite the severity of the accident, she returned to public duties just three weeks later, showcasing her resilience and dedication to her royal responsibilities. Known for her love of horses, she has a long history with equestrian sports, having been the first royal to compete in the Olympics in 1976.
In addition to her royal duties, Princess Anne is recognized as the hardest-working royal and has been actively involved in various equine organizations. Her commitment to public service began at a young age, and she has maintained a strong presence in charitable work, notably as president of Save the Children.
