Linda Kouwenhoven’s international small tour horse, Landlord H, has been leased to Dubai as a hopeful for the 2026 Asian Games. The 9-year-old KWPN gelding, bred by F. Haringsma Geerlig, is by Dante Weltino and has shown promise under Kouwenhoven, competing up to national medium tour level. Acquired by Christa Larmoyeur in 2020, Landlord has already achieved regional championships and participated in the Dutch Indoor Championships.
Christa Larmoyeur announced that Landlord H will be ridden by Gabrielle Thompson-Zaal in Dubai, where he will primarily train at the Prix St Georges level until the Asian Games in Japan in September 2026. Although he is trained up to Grand Prix level, Larmoyeur believes this “gap year” will be beneficial for the horse’s development. After the Asian Games, Landlord will return to continue his training.
Gabrielle Thompson, an Australian rider married to Emirati property developer Mohammed Zaal, operates out of Al Barari in Dubai, with assistance from former British youth team rider Alexandria Barr. Landlord is scheduled to fly to Dubai on June 9.
