King Charles attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show, accompanied by his brother Prince Edward and sister-in-law Duchess Sophie. The 76-year-old monarch was in high spirits, greeting fans and using a walking aid, reminiscent of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, who cherished the event and made her last appearance in 2022.
While Charles has not been a regular attendee, he has a long history with the show, having first visited as a child with Queen Elizabeth. His last appearance was in 2024, where he shared a warm moment with his niece, Zara Tindall, an Olympic equestrian.
Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie also remain enthusiastic supporters of the competition, engaging with stallholders and the public. Their daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, who has previously competed, was not present this year. Other royal attendees in the past have included Princess Anne and Queen Camilla, highlighting the event’s significance within the royal family.
