Title: Gothenburg to Host 2027 World Cup Finals, Celebrating 50 Years of Equestrian Excellence

The FEI Board has officially designated Gothenburg, Sweden, as the host city for the 2027 World Cup Finals, a decision made during their monthly teleconference on May 6. This event will feature a multi-discipline format, showcasing show jumping, dressage, and vaulting all under one roof.

Gothenburg has a rich history with the FEI, having hosted the first FEI Jumping World Cup Final in 1979 and the inaugural FEI dressage World Cup Final in 1989. The Gothenburg Horse Show, which began in 1977, has established itself as a significant venue for prestigious indoor equestrian events.

FEI President Ingmar De Vos expressed enthusiasm about returning to Gothenburg, highlighting its proven track record at the Scandinavium arena. The 2027 event will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Gothenburg Horse Show and will mark the first time Sweden hosts an FEI Vaulting World Cup Final, promising to be a memorable occasion.

Title: "Megan Reimann and Rusty: Breaking Records with Extraordinary Horse Tricks"

Megan Reimann of Hay Springs—known as Noche Miller on social media and as an author—runs about 30 head of cattle and three horses, having grown up around livestock her entire life. However, unlike most ranch stock, Reimann has some extraordinary animals that have helped her claim two Guinness World Records. One of these animals is her horse, Rusty, who has an incredible redemption story according to Reimann.

Reimann explained that after failing with traditional training methods, she adopted a new strategy, which quickly mended Rusty’s once-incurable behaviors. Guinness only allows one or three-minute intervals for these records, and Reimann said that after a friend broke the record for most tricks in one minute with a horse, she decided to try for the three-minute mark.

Rusty had made so much progress that he set that record on March 22 earlier this year, a feat that actually gave Reimann her second world record.

As for the act of breaking the record, there are certain rules to follow. For example, Reimann stated color and number recognition were not allowed, and she could not touch Rusty directly. Even with some limitations, Rusty still completed 33 tricks—so many, in fact, that Megan couldn’t even recall all of them.

When she isn’t doing ranch work and setting world records, Megan Reimann is teaching an online horse-trick training course as part of the Horse Tricks Club. You can learn more about her courses and books by searching for Megan’s pen name, Noche Miller, on social media platforms.

Miller’s most recently published book is “Understanding Horse Whorls.” A second book is also in the editing phase.

The first competitor into the arena is Kirsty Chabert with Classic VI, at 9am. The last to go will be Tim Price on Vitali, at 4.17pm on Friday. The action will be paused briefly for a VE Day Commemoration at noon tomorrow.
