Title: Emma Flavelle-Watts Triumphs with Hat-Trick at 2025 CDI Boneo

Australian rider Emma Flavelle-Watts achieved a remarkable hat trick at the 2025 CDI Boneo, held from June 6-8, marking the event’s return to Boneo Park after a year. Despite challenging winter weather, attendance was strong, particularly in youth divisions, although only three combinations competed in the 3* big tour. Flavelle-Watts and her horse, Scarlatti Mio VSR, dominated the competition, winning all three Grand Prix classes with scores of 69.674% in the Grand Prix, 69.808% in the Special, and 73.590% in the Kur to Music.

Flavelle-Watts, who has a rich history in international dressage, produced Scarlatti Mio herself after purchasing him in 2017. The horse, bred in Australia, has shown significant progress, including a win in the medium tour at the 2024 Australian dressage Championships. Flavelle-Watts expressed gratitude to Boneo Park for its excellent facilities, emphasizing the enjoyable experience despite the weather challenges.

At 41, Flavelle-Watts is no stranger to the CDI scene, having previously competed with several horses over the years. After training in Germany and returning to Australia, she now operates MountainView Stables with her husband, where she continues to train under Mary Hanna. Her journey reflects a commitment to the sport, with Scarlatti Mio marking a significant chapter in her competitive career.
