Title: Eclips Finds New Home in the U.S.A. as Grand Prix Schoolmaster for Rebecca Cohen

Eclips, a 16-year-old Dutch warmblood, has transitioned to a new rider in the U.S., marking a significant change in his competitive journey. Originally trained and shown by Barbara Soederhuizen in the Netherlands, Eclips was co-owned by Canadian rider Chris von Martels starting in late 2019. Under von Martels, Eclips made his international debut in 2020 and competed at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics, achieving notable scores and participating in various competitions across North America and Europe.

Despite a few breaks from competition, including a 13-month hiatus, Eclips continued to strive for Olympic qualifications, culminating in a successful return to the arena in 2024. The pair secured a spot on the Canadian Olympic team for the Paris 2024 Games, where they finished 4th in the Grand Prix with a score of 66.863%.

Now, Eclips has found a new home as a Grand Prix schoolmaster for American rider Rebecca Cohen, who trains at her facility in Wellington, Florida. Cohen, who also competes with her developing Grand Prix horse, Jameson, is coached by Ali Brock and Jan Brink, continuing to build her competitive career in dressage.
