Title: "Controversy Erupts as Accused in Vaishnavi Hagawane Death Case Found to Have Stayed at Resort Linked to Former Minister’s Son"

In the ongoing Vaishnavi Hagawane Death Case, two accused, Rajendra and Sushil Hagawane, evaded capture for seven days, moving between Pune, Satara, and the Maharashtra-Karnataka border. Their flight raised suspicions about potential accomplices, particularly after it was revealed that they stayed at the Heritage Resort, with accommodations allegedly arranged by Pritam Patil, the son of a former Karnataka minister.

Pritam Patil is under investigation for booking rooms for the Hagawanes and their associates, reportedly under the guise of wedding guests. During their stay from May 19 to May 21, the accused frequently left the resort, returning only at night, with meals provided by Patil. The former minister, Veer Kumar Patil, has claimed ignorance of the situation, asserting he was unaware of any wrongdoing when he facilitated the booking.

The case raises critical questions, particularly regarding a missed opportunity for arrest when Rajendra Hagawane visited a hospital on May 17. This oversight has prompted scrutiny of the investigation’s effectiveness and the circumstances surrounding the Hagawanes’ evasion.
