Participants engaged in evaluating horse classes and presenting oral justifications during the Horse Judging contest, while the Hippology segment involved activities like equine appraisal and equipment identification, culminating in a team problem-solving challenge.

The Junior Team, comprising Abbi Cone, Ella Kate Hegeman, and Lana Sprayberry, achieved notable placements, securing second in Judging and third in both Team Problem Solving and Overall Hippology. The Senior Team, featuring Ethan Cone, Madison West, and Maggie West, also performed well, finishing third in all three categories: Judging, Hippology, and Team Problem Solving. Newcomers Ethan Cone and Lana Sprayberry were highlighted for their impressive individual scores.

Overall, the competition not only showcased the participants’ equine knowledge but also fostered essential skills in public speaking, reasoning, and teamwork, contributing to their personal and educational development in equine science.
