On Friday, Good Cheer maintained her unbeaten streak by winning the Grade I Kentucky Oaks, prompting excitement for the upcoming Breeders’ Cup. The following day, Ruling Court triumphed in the prestigious Group 1 2,000 Guineas, marking a notable achievement for Godolphin, which also secured third and fourth places in the race. Additionally, Sovereignty’s win in the Kentucky Derby fulfilled a long-held aspiration for Sheik Mohammed.

Sunday continued the success with Desert Flower winning the Group 1 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket, further establishing her as a top contender for future breeding. Trainer Charlie Appleby expressed pride in the accomplishments of his team, highlighting the pressure and enjoyment of working closely with Sheik Mohammed. Godolphin’s dominance was evident as they also secured victories in two 2-year-old races, indicating a promising future.

In Japan, Redentor led a youthful charge to victory in the Grade 1 Tenno Sho (Spring), showcasing his potential for future international competitions. His trainer, Tetsuya Kimura, noted Redentor’s growth and maturity, suggesting he could be a contender for prestigious races like the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Another notable performance came from Canal Beagle, who won the Grade 3 Unicorn Stakes, further underscoring the strength of the Carrot Farm stable.
