Alan Wade, a distinguished show jumping course designer from Tipperary, Ireland, has been appointed to design the equestrian jumping course for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. With a career spanning major international events—including the FEI World Equestrian Games 2018 and the London 2012 Olympics where he served as assistant course designer—Wade brings extensive experience and a strong reputation for excellence. He began designing courses at age 12 and has worked globally, with a growing presence in North America.
The Dublin Horse Show organizers expressed pride in Wade’s appointment, highlighting his talent and dedication that have earned him this prestigious role. The equestrian events at LA28 will be held at Santa Anita Equestrian Park, featuring both team and individual competitions with 200 athletes and horses participating.
