Tim Price and Top Riders Aim for Glory at Defender Burghley Horse Trials

World No. 3 Tim Price returns to the Defender Burghley Horse Trials in the UK aiming for victory on Vitali, the horse he rode to second place last year and with whom he won in 2018. Price expresses confidence in their strong partnership and looks forward to tackling the cross-country course. Fellow Kiwi Samantha Lissington is also competing with two horses, Billy Alberto and Lord Seekonig, marking her first Burghley start in six years. She highlights the rarity and privilege of having two horses ready for such a prestigious event.

Other notable competitors include Caroline Powell with her energetic young horse High Time, Jesse Campbell on Cooley Lafitte, and Lauren Innes riding Global Fision M. The reigning champion, Ros Canter of Great Britain, and her horse Lordships Graffalo, who set the event’s best-ever finishing score last year, are among the favorites. The event features 58 combinations from eight nations, including seven riders with previous 5* wins, making it one of the world’s most elite horse trials.
