Now in its ninth year, the program combines paid full-time employment on stud farms with structured training and a Certificate III in Horse Breeding through TAFE NSW. It offers participants hands-on experience and formal education, preparing them for diverse roles in the breeding industry, with many graduates securing full-time positions or advancing to prestigious international programs.

The program is open Australia-wide, with placements ideally in the trainee’s home state but potentially interstate based on demand. Applications close on 31 March, with interviews in April and the program commencing in May.
