Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA) has opened applications for the 2026/27 Fast Track program, a nationally recognized 12-month traineeship aimed at developing the next generation of thoroughbred breeding professionals. Now in its ninth year, the program combines paid full-time employment on stud farms with structured training and a Certificate III in Horse Breeding through TAFE NSW. It offers participants hands-on experience and formal education, preparing them for diverse roles in the breeding industry, with many graduates securing full-time positions or advancing to prestigious international programs.
The program is open Australia-wide, with placements ideally in the trainee’s home state but potentially interstate based on demand. Applications close on 31 March, with interviews in April and the program commencing in May. TBA emphasizes that Fast Track is a career launchpad for motivated individuals ready to commit to a rewarding profession in a globally respected industry. More information and application details are available on the TBA website.
