Shelby Williams, founder of Texas Equine Education and Horsemanship, runs a unique program in Farmersville that welcomes riders of all ages and abilities, including preschoolers, retirees, first responders, and children with learning differences. Since 2021, her facility on 20 acres has provided a supportive environment where students can develop horseback riding skills, build physical strength, and gain personal growth through their experiences with horses.

What began as a simple favor teaching a friend’s acquaintance’s daughter has blossomed into a thriving program featuring 11 horses and ponies, three arenas, and six stalls—all largely built by Williams herself. Her lifelong passion for horses and helping others shines through as she guides her diverse students to learn not only riding but also valuable life lessons that extend beyond the stables.
