A 5-foot boa constrictor was rescued from a tree in Arlington, Texas, by Animal Control Officer David Davis. Initially skeptical about the call, Davis quickly learned that the snake was a python, prompting him to respond eagerly. Photos shared by Arlington Animal Services show Davis safely retrieving the snake from the tree.
The boa constrictor, identified as a red-tailed variety, is believed to have been a former pet that may have escaped its enclosure. After being held for several days without any owners coming forward, the snake was made available for adoption.
Davis decided to adopt the snake, naming her Ruby. He expressed his desire to provide a good home for her, stating that his family could offer the care she needs.
