Mellencamp competed at Desert International Horse Park on March 8 and received two blue ribbons for her horseback riding, expressing her determination to continue doing what she loves despite her health issues.
Mellencamp revealed on March 6 that she has multiple tumors in her brain and two in her lungs, all metastases of her melanoma. She shared that the doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them and expressed her positivity and determination to win the battle against her health challenges.

She also appreciated the support of her loved ones and fans, acknowledging the outpouring of love and prayers that have helped her stay strong as she moves forward with her treatment.
