Tariff Mindset Rallies from Last to Win Debut at Aqueduct

Klaravich Stables’ Tariff Mindset, a $250,000 yearling by Tiz the Law, made a dramatic and unlikely debut victory at Aqueduct, overcoming a slow start and difficult track conditions. Ridden by Flavien Prat and trained by Chad Brown, the colt steadily advanced from last place to edge out 30-1 longshot Print by a nose in a one-mile maiden special weight race, showcasing a strong closing kick in the final furlong.

Tariff Mindset is out of West Palm Beach, a Scat Daddy mare acquired by Springhouse Farm, who has produced multiple stakes performers and promising siblings. The dam, currently in foal to Tiz the Law again, was sold for $16,000 in a recent Fasig-Tipton sale, highlighting the family’s ongoing value and potential in Thoroughbred racing.
