Suzanne D’Ambrose, a lifelong Jersey Shore resident, has had a diverse career spanning law enforcement and a deep involvement with horses, particularly standardbreds. After 26 years teaching law enforcement and 12 years as a certified officer, she transitioned to the equine world, serving as secretary and instructor for the Harness Horse Youth Foundation and advising 4-H members in Monmouth County. Passionate about horses, she also practices equine massage therapy, incorporating techniques like acupressure and reiki, and has worked with notable horses such as Foiled Again.
In addition to her equine work, D’Ambrose is a celebrated artist specializing in horse-themed artwork, often painting on glass and canvas. She has taught art classes focused on drawing standardbred horses and participated in public art projects in New Jersey. A devoted horse owner, she cherished her standardbreds Chai Mister and Independent Act, the latter being her companion in various equestrian activities until his passing in 2023. D’Ambrose admires pioneers like Jacqueline Ingrassia and Ellen Taylor for their contributions to harness racing and youth education in the sport. Her artwork is available through her Facebook page, Hot2Trot Horse Art Creations.
