Susannah Cavendish, a 13-year-old member of the Strathblane and District Pony Club, has been selected to represent Scotland in British Eventing’s Youth Regional Championships Under 18s team. Despite living with ADHD and having experienced seizures as a baby, Susannah has found comfort and success in horse riding alongside her pony Harry, earning awards in regional competitions over the past two years. Her dedication and achievements include strong performances in the Pony Club Northern Regional Showjumping Championship and a flawless British Eventing season.
British Eventing’s Regional Youth Programme supports young riders aged 12-21 by providing competitive opportunities and development pathways. Andrea Miller, joint district commissioner for The Pony Club, praised Susannah’s resilience and partnership with Harry, highlighting their recent team victory and individual success. The championships finals will be held at Chillingtonhall, Staffordshire, in mid-September, where Susannah and the strong Scottish team aim to perform their best.
