Spillers Donates £5,000 to Support Redwings Horse Sanctuary Amid Centre Closure Threats

Horse feed manufacturer Spillers has donated £5,000 to Redwings Horse Sanctuary to support the charity amid a consultation process regarding the potential closure of two of its visitor centres due to rising costs. The donation will help sustain Redwings’ equine welfare services and rehabilitation programs during this uncertain period. Spillers, a long-term supporter of Redwings for over 20 years, hopes their contribution will encourage other organizations and individuals to donate and help the charity continue its vital work caring for horses, ponies, and donkeys in need.

In related equestrian news, the Burghley Horse Trials has named World Horse Welfare as its official charity for the 2026 event, aiming to raise awareness and funds for horse rescue and rehoming efforts. Additionally, British Eventing has partnered with outdoor brand YETI to support volunteers with refreshments during events, while Epsom Downs racecourse will collaborate with O Beach Ibiza to enhance the Betfred Derby Festival experience. Olympic showjumper Christian Kukuk has also joined watchmaker Longines as a supported athlete, reflecting the brand’s commitment to precision and elegance in equestrian sports.
